The Utopian Society Southwest Community & friends have been donated land from a couple who are genuine, like minded, community led souls. The purpose being, to create a Natural Holistic Healthcare & Education Space to serve all people.
The Well Trust

The first stage of the Project is now in motion - see our 'News' section below for updates on progress on the Well Centre (the photo above is an example of similar design).We are truly creating the vision we see for our community in co-operation and co-creation together. The centre's primary focus is to promote Health and Wellbeing Education to empower individuals to take control back for their own health in a natural, holistic way.
Those who choose to get involved with the building phase will primarily be offered options of time banking in exchange for their contributions or 'energy exchange' or you can choose to donate their time for free.
Until the centre is complete we now have a facilitator, Linda, who is committed to updating the database and working on building teams and rolling out care in the community.
The Health & Wellbeing Centre is accessible to all.
It will support people from wherever they come from – The Southwest, Scotland, England, Wales, Europe. If we can't address any issues you present then we will signpost you to somewhere that can, using our extensive database created through networking with other hubs.
Our vision is becoming a reality as we have been offered a room/space in Launceston, North Cornwall where people are working to set up service providers who will work on a rota and can also travel offering their services in rooms/spaces booked in other small, rural places at set times throughout the week. Rooms and spaces can be booked by anyone outside the area. If you have a room/space you can offer then email us.
We have enough knowledgeable service providers in our community to cover every aspect of healthcare & healing needed to serve the people and we have a Facilitator who is working to connect and network with them all to update the Database - see the 'Services & Contact' page - to add details to deliver your service. This way care will already be in place for the Well Trust completion.
We will care for, heal and nurture mind, body and soul - The possibilities are limitless.
We are currently looking for good men and women to appoint as Trustees to run The Well Centre, by way of a nomination form

So far we have raised over £6,000 and have completed phase 1 - the foundation prepared
The next phase is raising the funds £45 - £55,000 to buy the materials to complete the build We are putting together fundraising teams to do this

Who We Are
Our aim is to build a new kind of healthcare provision going back to basics. Back to when nature was our healer:

The fundamental aim of the centre is education; to empower each and every one of us to take responsibility for our own health and well-being, based on information, accessible resources and ongoing support using totally alternative, natural treatments and remedies - using a holistic, natural approach with zero pharmaceuticals.We truly have the power within us to be healthy
We are not affiliated in any way with the “Wellbeing Hubs” established in Devon or Cornwall or with the PHA - People's Health Alliance or any other alternative health provider. The Well Centre Trust is self funded & totally independent in all ways.
The Utopian Society (US) Southwest & friends
The land owner approached the US Southwest networker & coordinator and said that he and his partner would like to donate land to US to create a healing space.
'Make this happen ’ he said, and so the seed was planted.The intention was set and with the support of the community behind US we can work as a collective and create our own reality

The Vision
The vision of the project is that it will be totally self sustainable & self sufficient in energy, with the focus of the running of the Centre being trust, honesty, integrity, respect, honour & friendship; the qualities we wish to support in every living soul. To build a future that supports our compassionate nature.
There will be a Board of Trustees formed by men & women of the land to run the Trust under Natural Law. There will be no hierarchy. It will be totally transparent. It will be run by the people, for the good of people
News: The Well Centre Project
Foundations - July 2022
The foundations have been laid and prepped for the pins to be positioned. The building will be approx 100m2
There is additional land for potential future projects - education centres, a community centre, food bank etc if we make this work.Roof space will be designed so we have a community space above to hold gatherings, educational talks & training and to hold regular meetings.
Many thanks to our workers for suffering the blistering 38 degree sunshine loading the gabion baskets.

UPDATE ON PROGRESS
The healing centre build is ongoing based on funds and we are constantly working away to raise them. No deadline for completion yet but as the money comes in it will move on. In a group meeting in Nov 2023 it was decided that we need to raise the total amount before proceeding further with the build. Due to the rise in materials the figure we are looking at now is between £45,000 – £50,000
We’re looking at different ways to generate self funding for it so we are working on the finance behind the scenes as well as running events to raise funds while giving information, empowerment and education back to the community. More people needed for the management team. See the Fundraising tab for upcoming events.
Thank you to all the generous people who have contributed and those who continue to contribute regularly and to the community that come along and support the events and give donations towards the Well Trust and all community funds.
Priority is rolling out health care & education in the community as soon as possible, as this can be done in all areas as you only need space to do this, and we have been offered a room in Launceston to use. We have a facilitator who is contacting everyone we have on our Awake Services section on the website and on the time banking healthcare database so we can put together a team and work out a rota for people to have access to care and also bring the database up to date. If you have a room in your area you would like to offer then please get in touch.
We now have some team members who will be committed to actioning creation for our vision. More news to follow..........
